ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the Islamabad administration has issued a travel advisory for twin cities following the PSL X match between Quetta Gladiators vs Multan Sultan.

Due to the movement of cricket teams competing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) X, special security measures will be instituted on Faizabad Express Highway, Club Road, Murree Road, Faisal Avenue, 9th Avenue, and Srinagar Highway at various times until May 18, 2025.

The Islamabad Traffic Police gave an advisory for routes picked for the teams stating that there will be some traffic disruption for a length of time, from 12:30 PM to 02:00 PM and 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM, on the Express Highway and Srinagar Highway.

The advisory highlights that traffic will be slow. So it is advised to the citizens to use the service road linking the Express Highway and Srinagar Highway.

For travel towards the Blue Area and Sector F-6 and F-7, use the H-8 underpass. Citizens can use Margalla Road, Jinnah Avenue, Ayub Chowk, and Nadra Chowk, if coming or going to the Red Zone and the Serena Hotel.

If going to Bari Imam, use Nadra Chowk. For Sector I and H, use Rawalpindi Peshawar Road, IJP Road, and Service Road. Also, heavy traffic will not be allowed access to Islamabad during the movement of teams, and movement from Murree Road to Serena and Faizabad will be via Rawal Dam.
