Tremors felt in Balochistan’s Zhob & surrounding areas

ZHOB: Tremors were felt in the Zhob district of Balochistan on Thursday afternoon, measuring 4.4  on the Richter scale, according to the Seismological Centre.

According to details, the epicentre was located approximately 60 kilometres southeast of Zhob, with a depth of 40 kilometres beneath the Earth’s surface.

People came out of their houses in panic by reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba and Holy verses. However, no loss of life or damage to property has been reported from any part of Zhob so far.

Rescue teams were on high alert in case of any harm or destruction in the area.

Earlier, an earthquake struck Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush, and tremors were felt in various parts of Pakistan, including the federal capital, on Sunday.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Center, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindu Kush, and it occurred at a depth of 200 kilometers below the surface of the Earth. The tremors were mild but were noticeable in several cities of the country.
