Twin cities abuzz with reshuffle talk after new chief commissioner appointment

ISLAMABAD: Strong speculation of a major bureaucratic reshuffle is circulating in the twin cities following the appointment of Sohail Ahmed as Chief Commissioner of Islamabad.

Sources indicate that Aamir Khattak, currently serving as Chief Commissioner of Rawalpindi, is likely to be posted to Lahore as Secretary of the Communication & Works Department, Punjab, a position he is reportedly keen to assume.

Meanwhile, Irfan Memon is being considered for appointment as Chief Commissioner of Rawalpindi, a potential move that has generated significant discussion within administrative circles.

Although no official notification has been issued so far, insiders suggest that formal announcements regarding the reshuffle are expected in the coming days
