Two FC personnel martyred in DI Khan attack

DI KHAN: On Tuesday, a Frontier Constabulary (FC) vehicle came under attack by terrorists in the Daraban police station limits of Dera Ismail Khan.

According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, 2 brave soldiers of FC were martyred while 4 were injured in the terrorist attack. The martyrs have been identified as Sepoy Sher Rehman and Sepoy Syed Amin.

The statement further said that the FC jawans bravely resisted the Khwarji terrorist attack.

Sepoy Sher Rehman belonged to South Waziristan while Sepoy Syed Amin belonged to Gadun, Swabi.

The injured Sepoy Havaldar Imtiaz, Sepoy Mohib Shah, Sepoy Sahib Din and Sepoy Fazal Karim have been shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.

The Frontier Constabulary is committed to its mission of thwarting the nefarious intentions of terrorists. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior said that the sacrifices of FC jawans are an example of unwavering commitment in the fight against terrorism.

Earlier on Monday, Pakistan’s security forces killed a terrorist and recovered arms and ammunition during an operation in Nushki district of Balochistan, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

“On November 4, 2024, there was an exchange of fire between its own troops and terrorists in Nushki district of Balochistan,” the army’s media wing said.

It added that the security forces effectively located the hideout of the terrorists and as a result one terrorist was killed. Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the dead terrorist.

A sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. The ISPR added that Pakistan’s security forces are committed to working with the nation to thwart attempts to sabotage the peace, stability and development of Balochistan.
