KARACHI: Two Pakistani nationals named Shehbaz and Umar were arrested at the Karachi airport for trying to leave the country for Saudi Arabia under false information..
The individuals were found to be carrying fake driving licenses, which they used to obtain work visas for Saudi Arabia. During routine immigration checks, authorities discovered that the licenses were counterfeit and allegedly issued by the Clifton licensing branch.
However, investigations revealed that neither Shehbaz nor Umar had ever visited the branch to undergo the official process, and it is believed that they acquired the forged documents through an agent for a substantial amount, ranging from Rs600,000 to Rs750,000.
Despite having genuine protector stamps on their Saudi work visas, the use of forged documents led to their arrest. The suspects were subsequently handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation and legal action.
This incident highlights the growing trend of individuals using forged documents to obtain employment abroad, often through agents who promise lucrative opportunities but instead exploit vulnerable individuals.
