Two terrorists including ‘high value target’ killed in Timergara IBO

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed two terrorists, including a high-value target, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Timergara area of KP’s Lower Dir district.

In a statement, the military’s media wing said that an intelligence-based operation was conducted on the reported presence of khawarij on the night between April 10 and 11.

During the conduct of the operation, own troops surrounded and effectively engaged the khwarij location, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

The intense fire exchange resulted in the killing of two khwarij, including a high-value target, Hafeezullah aka Kochwan, it added.

The military’s information ISPR said that Kharji Hafeezullah was “involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians.”

“He was highly wanted by the Law Enforcement Agencies and Government had fixed Head money of PKR 10 Million on him,” the statement added.

“Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.”
