ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that a peace agreement has been reached between the US and Iran after long and important negotiations.
The Prime Minister said in a message on social media that the formal signing ceremony of the peace agreement will take place in Switzerland on June 19.
The Prime Minister appreciated the role of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey in the agreement and said that the parties announced an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts.
The Prime Minister said that the countries playing the role of mediators will hold several meetings this week, and technical issues will be consulted before the implementation of the agreement.
The Prime Minister also thanked the US and Iran for their diplomatic efforts to resolve the dispute.
