With political parties actively campaigning through marches, rallies, and speeches, there’s an increased likelihood of public gatherings causing disruptions such as traffic blockages and transportation challenges. Moreover, given the history of violence targeting political events in Pakistan, vigilance is paramount.
The advisory urges U.S. citizens to stay informed about the locations of political rallies, especially in areas they plan to visit. On election day itself, polling stations may witness crowded conditions, advising non-participating Americans to steer clear of these areas.
Additionally, the advisory warns of possible disruptions to internet and cellular services leading up to and during the election period, potentially impacting communication channels.
