ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday issued a forecast saying that the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most parts of the country.
According to the PMD, strong winds and thundershowers are likely at most places in Kashmir and northeast Punjab. While at a few places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, south Punjab and northeast Balochistan. During this, heavy rain is likely in northeast Punjab and Kashmir.
The weather will remain hot, humid and partly cloudy in Islamabad and nearby areas, with rain or thundershowers possible in the morning. The weather will remain hot and humid in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, the weather will remain partly cloudy in Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Buner, Peshawar, Kohat, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Hangu and Waziristan.
In Punjab, rain with strong winds and thundershowers is likely in Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Chakwal, Jhelum and surrounding areas. Heavy rain is also likely at a few places.
In the evening/night, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Multan, Khanewal, Rajanpur, DG Khan, and Gurdaspur areas are likely to be partly cloudy with strong winds and thundershowers.
In most districts of Balochistan, the weather is likely to be partly humid. However, in the areas of Barkhan, Zhob, Musakhel, Loralai, Awaran, Lasbela and Gurdu, rain with strong winds and thundershowers is likely in the evening.
In Sindh, the weather is likely to be partly cloudy in most districts of the province. However, rain with strong winds and thundershowers may occur at a few places in Gothi, Sukkur, Khairpur, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar and surrounding areas.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to remain cloudy with rain, strong winds, thundershowers and heavy rain at a few places, while Gilgit-Baltistan is likely to remain partly cloudy.
