SHIRKARPUR: Fareed Teghani, a well-known Shikarpur katcha dacoit has been killed during a police and Pakistan Rangers operation in Garhi Tegho.

His accomplice, Malan Mazari Teghani, was arrested with injuries. As explained by the senior superintendent of police (SSP), he was in trouble with the law for many reasons, from murders and ransom kidnapping to crime along the National Highway.

According to the senior superintendent of police (SSP), Fareed Teghani employed a honey trap to entice people into carrying out kidnappings for which he later demanded a ransom.

Couriers would kidnap their targets, take even videos of the victims, and post such media on the internet seeking funds for their release. The scope of this operation is likely to expand, including eradicating all criminals further into the Kacha region.

In another case, the police of Punjab stated in a gun battle baish Shahid Lund the boss of the infamous Lund gang had been killed.

Shahid Lund was awaiting trial concerning murder, kidnapping for ransom, and many other crimes for which his capture was worth 10 million rupees. The police have been carrying out raids in Katcha’s jurisdiction to get rid of dacoits and restore normalcy.
