Winners of CM Punjab free solar panel scheme announced

LAHORE: The CM Punjab Solar Scheme is a fantastic initiative that aims to provide free solar panels to 100,000 low-income households in Punjab, promoting energy independence, reducing electricity bills, and encouraging the adoption of renewable energy sources.

The Free Solar Panel Scheme of the Punjab CM has reached the implementation stage as free installations are now being placed at the residences of the qualified electricity consumers in many cities of the province.

With Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in the driver’s seat, the provincial project is being expanded at a fast rate, providing quality and cheap energy to homes in many districts, such as Sahiwal and Faisalabad.

The project forms part of the government’s agenda of delivering sustainable, low-cost, and reliable electricity, as well as the bottom-up approach to tackling the problem of load shedding.

The distribution of free solar systems has already begun in several areas, with a number of families already identified as beneficiaries.
