Winter holidays in Sindh schools, colleges announced

KARACHI: The Sindh government on Wednesday announced winter holidays for educational institutions including schools and colleges across the province, starting from December 22, 2024.

According to the details, all government and private schools and colleges will remain closed from December 22, 2024, to December 31, 2024 (Tuesday) in Sindh due to the harsh weather conditions.

The educational institutions will reopen on January 1, 2025 (Wednesday).

The steering committee of the school education department of the Sindh government approved the 10-day winter vacations.

A notification regarding the winter vacations in Sindh schools and colleges will be issued next week.

Earlier, the Punjab govt announced winter vacations for government and private schools across the province from December 20, 2024, to January 10, 2025.

In a statement released to the public, The Secretary of Schools Punjab, Khalid Nazir Watoo announced that students and staff would enjoy a break from school for 20 days, with schools reopening on January 10, 2025.
