ISLAMABAD: Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Zartaj Gul has been appointed as Parliamentary Leader of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) in the National Assembly (NA) on Sunday.
The National Assembly Secretariat has issued an official notification in this regard. The PTI-backed SIC had submitted the nomination papers of Zartaj Gul to the Speaker on June 21.
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq officially gave a notification to Zartaj Gul appointing her as the Parliamentary Leader after which she will assume responsibilities immediately.
It should be remembered that a few months ago, the Ministry of Interior had put Zartaj Gul’s name in the ECL under various charges including the May 9 case.
