Zartaj Gul nominated SIC’s Parliamentary Leader in National Assembly

ISLAMABAD: Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) nominated senior PTI leader Zartaj Gul as the party’s Parliamentary Leader in the National Assembly on Saturday.

PTI founder Imran Khan approved the appointment of Zartaj Gul as the Parliamentary Leader along with Zain Qureishi and Ahmad Chattha as Deputy Parliamentary Leaders in the National Assembly

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had proposed four names for the Parliamentary Leader slot in the lower house of the parliament. Names of Zartaj Gul, Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan, Zain Qureshi, and Ahmad Chattha were proposed.

Taking on X, Leader of the Opposition Omar Ayub Khan wrote, “PM Imran Khan has nominated the following MNAs for the following positions, Zartaj Gul (Parliamentary Leader in the National Assembly), Zain Qureishi (Deputy Parliamentary Leader in the National Assembly), Ahmad Chattha (Deputy Parliamentary Leader in the National Assembly).

Sources said the head of the Sunni Ittehad Council, on Monday, will formally inform the National Assembly about the nomination of Zartaj Gul.
