ISLAMABAD: Hamza Ali Abbasi’s sister Dr. Fazila Abbasi’s interim bail has been restored on a bond of Rs 100,000 in a money laundering case.

According to details, the Islamabad High Court has restored the interim bail of Dr. Fazila Abbasi, wanted in a money laundering case worth billions of rupees, and ordered her to submit a surety bond of Rs 100,000.

Dr. Fazila Abbasi appeared in the Islamabad High Court along with her lawyer, renowned lawyer Naeem Bukhari.

During the hearing, Naeem Bukhari told the court that his client had previously appeared in the trial court three times, but once she failed to appear and submitted a three-day medical certificate, which the court rejected instead of accepting.

After hearing the arguments, the Islamabad High Court restored the interim bail of Dr. Fazila Abbasi and directed her to approach the trial court again.

The court ordered the Registrar’s Office to hear the case and to restrain her from arrest in lieu of bail.

It should be noted that Dr. Fazila Abbasi is wanted by the Federal Investigation Agency in a high-profile money laundering case, in which she is accused of transferring huge sums of money abroad. After the trial court cancelled her bail, she had approached the High Court to avoid arrest, from where she has now got temporary relief.
