Pakistani actor Raeed Muhammad Alam has opened up about an unforgettable moment from the early days of his acting career, sharing how veteran star Nauman Ijaz helped him deliver an emotional performance in an unconventional way.

Raeed, who has earned praise for his performances in popular dramas including Kaffara, Siyani, Bepanah, Fitrat, and Taubah, recently appeared on Fahad Abid’s podcast. During the conversation, he recalled a challenging scene that required him to cry, something he admitted was extremely difficult for him as a newcomer.

According to the actor, repeated attempts to perform the emotional sequence were unsuccessful because he was unable to produce tears naturally. Raeed explained that using glycerine was not an option since it irritated his eyes, making it even harder to complete the scene.

Seeing his struggle, Nauman Ijaz reportedly asked whether he was having trouble crying. After Raeed confirmed it, the senior actor unexpectedly slapped him across the face. The sudden reaction, Raeed said, triggered genuine emotions, allowing him to cry and finish the scene convincingly.

Although he described the slap as painful, Raeed spoke about the incident with gratitude rather than resentment. He praised Nauman Ijaz for mentoring younger actors and said experienced artists play a vital role in shaping the careers of newcomers.
