Veteran Pakistani singer Sajjad Ali has once again become the center of online discussion after one of his most popular tracks was performed on an Indian reality television show, prompting fans to question the use of his music.

Known for delivering timeless hits over a career spanning more than four decades, Sajjad Ali has earned widespread admiration with songs such as Babia and Ravi. The singer has also been recognized for taking a firm position on how his music is used, particularly after he reportedly did not allow his songs to be performed during the Pakistani singing competition Pakistan Idol.

The latest conversation began when a young contestant performed Sajjad Ali’s hit song Ravi on the Indian reality show Punjab Masterchamps. Clips from the performance quickly circulated on social media, attracting attention from fans on both sides of the border.

The episode also featured another contestant singing Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, a song by Pakistani singer Asim Azhar, further fueling online discussion about Pakistani music being showcased on Indian television.

Following the viral clips, social media users raised questions about whether Sajjad Ali had granted permission for the performance or if he would respond to the show’s use of his song. Some users pointed to his earlier stance regarding Pakistan Idol, while others debated whether the circumstances were different in this case.

So far, Sajjad Ali has not publicly commented on the performance or addressed the growing speculation surrounding the issue.
