ISLAMABAD: Former star cricketer Shoaib Malik has humorously declared that he himself is the only “innocent story” in his wife Sana Javed’s life, in a video from a public event that recently went viral.

The couple, who were attending the event together, interacted with fans and answered several questions. In one clip, a fan asked Sana Javed to share any innocent story from her life – a question Shoaib Malik decided to answer himself.

Viral video counters divorce rumours

As Malik responded, “The only innocent story in Sana Javed’s life is me,” the audience burst into laughter, and even Sana Javed couldn’t help but smile.

The light-hearted moment came days after another viral video showed Sana Javed appearing visibly annoyed during the same event. That clip had fueled speculation on social media and even led some Indian outlets to report unfounded rumors of tension and an impending divorce between the couple.

However, Malik’s latest comment seems to have dispelled some of that gossip, showing the pair in a more playful and affectionate light.

Sana Javed and Shoaib Malik tied the knot in January 2024, surprising fans across Pakistan and India. It was the second marriage for both.

Malik was previously married to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, with whom he shares a son who currently lives with his mother in India. Sana Javed, on the other hand, was earlier married to singer and actor Umair Jaswal, though the two did not have children together.
