ISLAMABAD: A decision on whether the Pakistan cricket team will participate in the World Cup or not is expected today. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also prepared a plan B in case of a boycott of the World Cup.
According to media reports, an important meeting is likely between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi this evening. The meeting will decide whether the Pakistan cricket team will participate in the World Cup.
According to sources, the Pakistan cricket team’s kit will also be unveiled in case of participation in the World Cup. Plan B has also been prepared in case of not participating in the World Cup.
The Pakistan team, Pakistan Shaheens and Under-19 will be divided into four teams and a tournament will be held between the four teams in Lahore.
