LAHORE:  Pakistani spinners have set a new historical record in the history of T20 International cricket.

In the second T20 match played against Australia in Lahore, Pakistan’s spinners created a memorable moment for cricket fans by taking all 10 wickets of the opposing team.

In this historic achievement, Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan took 3 wickets each, Usman Tariq took 2, while Saim Ayub and Muhammad Nawaz took 1 wicket each, dismissing all the players of the Australian team.

This is the 10th time in the history of T20 Internationals that all the wickets of the innings have been taken by spinners and this is only the second such incident in a match between full members.

Earlier, Indian spinners had achieved this feat against the West Indies in Florida in 2022, when all 10 wickets went to spinners.

It should be noted that yesterday, Pakistan defeated Australia by 90 runs in the second T20 of the 3-match series to take a decisive 2-0 lead in the series. Batting first, the Green Shirts scored 198 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs, while the Australian team was bowled out for only 108 runs in the 16th over before the stipulated 20 overs.

This brilliant performance of the Pakistani spinners not only guaranteed the team’s victory but also further strengthened Pakistan’s strong bowling line-up in international cricket. Cricket fans termed this success as historic and paid rich tribute to the spinners.
