Fakhar Zaman charged with level three offence for ball tampering

LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman has been charged with a level three offence for tampering with the ball in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has issued a notice for violations of the Code of Conduct.

According to the PCB, Lahore Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman has been charged with a level three offence. Fakhar violated Article 41.3 of the PSL playing conditions.

The PCB states that this violation is related to damaging the ball’s condition. According to the PCB, match referee Roshan Mahnama held a disciplinary hearing, and Fakhar Zaman denied the charge against him.

The PCB says that further hearings in Fakhar Zaman’s case will be held within the next 48 hours. The match referee will announce the decision after the hearing.

It should be noted that in the sixth match of HBL PSL 11, Lahore Qalandars had to face a 5-run penalty for changing the condition of the ball in Karachi Kings’ innings.

In the match played in Lahore, Karachi Kings defeated Lahore Qalandars by 4 wickets.

Batting first, Lahore Qalandars scored 128 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Karachi Kings achieved the target of 129 runs in the last over for the loss of 4 wickets.
