Hanif Abbasi announces formation of Rawalpindi Tigers team

RAWALPINDI: Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi has announced the formation of Rawalpindi Tigers team and said that only youth domiciled in Rawalpindi will be included in this team, and trials will start on February 14 and 15.

On Saturday, Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi, along with CEO Lahore Qalandars Atif Rana, said in a press conference in Rawalpindi that we are announcing the formation of Rawalpindi Tigers team, Rawalpindi Tigers will be made a world-class team.

He said that Lahore Qalandars play an important role in promoting cricket among the youth, the Pakistani people have a romance with cricket, I have been a fan of Lahore Qalandars since the beginning, the CEO of Lahore Qalandars will guide us.

The Railways Minister said that only youth domiciled in Rawalpindi will be included in the Rawalpindi Tigers, and Rawalpindi Tigers will be taken to the PSL.

He said that we have provided sports facilities to the youth of Rawalpindi within colleges and schools, we are providing a big platform to the youth on merit, we are starting trials on February 14 and 15.

Hanif Abbasi said that Lahore Qalandars will guide Rawalpindi Tigers, we are also going to form a girls’ team, and a world-class squash court has been built at Fatima Jinnah University.

He said that no one else can do the way Lahore Qalandars has developed Pakistani talent, there are as many cricket grounds in my constituency and nowhere else.
