SYDNEY: Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf, who represented Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League, narrowly escaped a fatal accident.

In the 14th match of the BBL yesterday, Haris Rauf won the Man of the Match award after taking 3 wickets for 29 runs against Sydney Thunders.

During the first innings of this match, when Reece Topley hit the fourth ball of the last over, the ball went up in the air.

Haris Rauf, who was at short third position for the catch, and Hilton Cartwright, who was at deep point, ran and both took a full-length dive.

During this, the two players narrowly avoided colliding with each other on the head, which also frightened the commentators.

The commentators said that it could have been very scary.
