KARACHI: Karachi Kings bowler Hasan Ali has made history by becoming the leading wicket-taker in Pakistan Super League (PSL) with 115 wickets.

The feat was attained during a game against Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium in Karachi as he overtook the record for most wickets in the competition by former Peshawar Zalmi bowler Wahab Riaz.

Hasan Ali’s ascent to the top was rapid, doing it in 83 innings, four less than Wahab’s 87 innings to grab 113 wickets.

Hasan Ali started his PSL career in 2016 as a rising player for Peshawar Zalmi and has consistently shown his skills since then.

Previously this week, he tied Wahab Riaz’s record for most wickets when he took four wickets against Lahore Qalandars at National Bank Stadium.

In the current PSL X, Hasan Ali has been in great touch, taking seven wickets in only three matches. Even after a slightly costly performance against Multan Sultans, he came back strongly against Lahore Qalandars, takingfour wickets for 28 runs.

During the game against Quetta Gladiators, Hasan Ali continued his good form, sending two batters back to the pavilion, Hassan Nawaz and Khawaja Nafay.
