DHAKA: Mushfiqur Rahim breaks Imran Khan’s record to become Asia’s second longest Test career.

Bangladesh’s veteran batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has broken the record of former national team captain Imran Khan. He has become the second Asian player to have the longest Test career by playing the ongoing Test match against Pakistan.

According to sources, Mushfiqur Rahim’s Test career spans 20 years and 351 days, while Imran Khan’s career has come to third place in Asia with 20 years and 218 days.

India’s legendary captain Sachin Tendulkar is at the first place, whose Test career spanned 24 years and one day.

Furthermore, Mushfiqur Rahim also holds the distinction of being the only player to play 100 Test matches for Bangladesh, which gives him a prominent place in the team’s history.

This record will be remembered as a memorable milestone in the history of Bangladesh cricket and places Mushfiqur Rahim among Asia’s best and longest-playing batsmen.
