‘No plans to relocate Champions Trophy 2025 from Pakistan’: ICC

DUBAI: International Cricket Council (ICC) chief executive Geoff Allardice has confirmed that there are currently no plans to move the 2025 Champions Trophy away from Pakistan.

With doubts about shifting the tournament out of the country due to various security reasons, the ICC chief executive reiterated that Pakistan would act as the official host of the tournament.

Addressing a media briefing for the Women’s T20 World Cup, Geoff Allardice expressed her satisfaction with the venue of the tournament and highlighted that the ICC has regularized its member countries, including Pakistan, to ensure the successful hosting of its events. Visits from

He once again clarified the lingering doubts, adding that the tournament is “being given to the Pakistan Cricket Board”.

He assured that no team has expressed any hesitation to play in the tournament and all the teams are committed to participate in Pakistan.

Although the official dates for Champions Trophy 2025 have not been announced, the tournament is all set to return after a gap of eight years. In the last edition played in England in 2017, Pakistan defeated arch-rivals India by 180 runs.
