LONDON: The most thrilling and traditional rival battle of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s T20 World Cup is being played today, where the women’s cricket teams of Pakistan and India will face each other on the field.

The Green Shirts of the Pakistan team, led by Fatima Sana, are ready to take the field with full confidence to achieve a historic victory against their traditional rivals. This big match will be played at the historic Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.

Before the match, disturbing news came from the Pakistani camp when the captain of the national team, Fatima Sana, suffered an injury after being hit by a ball on her right knee during net practice.

According to media reports, during the batting session on Saturday, Ayesha Zafar played a straight shot, on which the ball hit Fatima Sana’s knee at high speed during the follow-through (the process of completing the action after the shot) after bowling.

However, the young captain, setting an example of bravery, dismissed the incident as minor and assured fans that she is now fine and will be available for the match.

According to the Pakistani team management, spin bowler Sadia Iqbal and experienced all-rounder Nida Dar are expected to perform well in this crucial match.

Due to the large South Asian (Pakistani and Indian) community living in Birmingham, all the tickets for the stadium have been sold out, and the atmosphere in the stadium during the match is expected to be very exciting, thrilling, and full of intense mental pressure for both teams.

Fatima Sana has recently been entrusted with the leadership of Pakistan and is known as an aggressive all-rounder.

The Edgbaston ground in Birmingham has always been fast and bouncy, unlike Asian pitches, where fast bowlers are helped in the early overs.

However, as the game progresses, spinners also play an important role here. In the past, the Pakistan-India matches held on this field have brought fans to the peak of excitement.
