RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Shaheens emerged as the winners of the Asia Cup Rising Stars title in a nail-biting competition against Bangladesh A, where the match was taken to a super over at West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Sunday.
Pakistan set a target of 126 in twenty overs. Saad Masood scored 38, while Arafat Minhas added 25. Bangladesh replied with 125 for nine, with Rakibul Hasan’s 24 and Habibur Rahman Sohan’s 26 keeping the chase alive before the match finished level.
Ahmed Daniyal sealed the super over with two wickets for six runs as Bangladesh reached only 6. Masood and Maaz Sadaqat then led Pakistan to 8 without the loss of a wicket to seal the title.
Bangladesh decided to field first after winning the toss. The match was part of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025/26 season.
