PCB awards central contracts to 30 players for 2025-26 season

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the Cricketers’ central contracts to 30 players for 2025-26.

A group of 10 players was placed in categories B, C, and D based on performance. The contracts will be effective from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

Last year, 27 players were given contracts. This year, the number has increased to 30, with 12 new players added.

Ahmed Daniyal, Faheem Ashraf, Hassan Ali, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Abbas, Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Nawaz, Sohaibzada Farhan, Salman Mirza, and Sufyan Muqeem were among the new players.

Nine players managed to retain their previous category. However, eight players failed to get contracts.

B Category: Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Hassan Ali, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha.

C Category: Abdullah Shafiq, Naseem Shah, Saud Shakeel, Faheem Ashraf, Sajid Khan, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Haris, Sohaibzada Farhan, Hassan Nawaz, Noman Ali.

D Category: Shan Masood, Hussain Talat, Muhammad Abbas, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Muhammad Abbas Afridi, Khushdil Shah, Ahmed Daniyal, Salman Mirza, Khurram Shahzad, Sufyan Muqeem.
