KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to hold the Pakistan Super League in April and May next year after Ramadan, with two additional teams, PSL 11, along with the Indian Premier League.

Sources say that many issues are yet to be resolved between the PSL franchise and the PCB, and no formal meeting has been held to discuss the next PSL.

Due to the T20 World Cup early next year, it is not possible to hold the PSL in February-March.

In preparation for the T20 World Cup, there will be a series of 3 T20 matches between Pakistan and Australia, followed by a two-Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

After the T20 World Cup and PSL, there will be a series of three One-Day Internationals between Pakistan and Australia. After the Bangladesh Test series, the white-ball series will be played after May.

The Pakistan team will play three One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals in Bangladesh.

There will also be three One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals between Pakistan and Zimbabwe.

Therefore, the Pakistan Cricket Board wants to hold the PSL with two additional teams in April and May next year.

On the other hand, the next edition of the IPL will be played from March 15 to May 31, so this time too, there is a strong possibility that the dates of the matches of the two major leagues will clash, and many international players will be able to choose one of the two leagues.
