ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released the new schedule for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) XI.
According to the new schedule of PSL 11, the event will be played in two cities, Karachi and Lahore, from March 26 to May 3.
According to the new schedule, a total of 44 matches will be played in the event, which will last for 39 days, of which 22 matches will be played in Lahore and 22 matches in Karachi.
The opening match of the event will be held in Lahore between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen, the first and second eliminators of the league will be held in Lahore, while Karachi will host the qualifiers, and the final of PSL 11 will also be held in Lahore.
In the first phase, matches will be held in Lahore from March 26 to April 6, while the matches will start in Karachi from April 8.
Earlier, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had announced that PSL 11 will start from March 26 as per its schedule, but fans will not be invited.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, the PCB Chairman said that consultations were underway regarding the holding of PSL and it has been decided that the league will start from March 26 as per the schedule.
Mohsin Naqvi said that PSL is an international brand which also includes foreign players, hence it was not possible to postpone the event as there is no window available ahead.
