PSL-9: Peshawar Zalmi Clinches Thrilling Victory Against Multan Sultans

Rawalpindi: In a nail-biting encounter at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Peshawar Zalmi emerged victorious against Multan Sultans by four runs in the 21st match of Pakistan Super League 9.

Peshawar Zalmi’s captain, Babar Azam, won the toss and opted to bat first. The team put up a formidable total of 204 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Babar Azam led from the front with a solid knock of 64 runs, supported by contributions from Saim Ayub (46 runs), Haseebullah (31 runs), and Asif Ali (11 runs). Rovman Powell and Aamir Jamal also chipped in with valuable runs.

In response, Multan Sultans started aggressively but fell short of the target, scoring 200 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. Captain Mohammad Rizwan (32 runs), Chris Jordan (30 runs), and Iftikhar Ahmed (60 runs off 21 balls) led the charge, but ultimately, they couldn’t chase down the total.
