Karachi: Quetta Gladiators emerged victorious against Karachi Kings in a thrilling encounter during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine. The match, held at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, saw Quetta Gladiators clinch a 5-wicket win over Karachi Kings.

The star of the match was West Indies’ hard-hitter Sherfane Rutherford, who played a sensational innings to steer Quetta Gladiators to victory on the last ball of the game. Rutherford’s blistering knock of 58 runs off just 31 balls, which included six sixes and a boundary, proved to be the turning point in the match. He was well-supported by Akeal Hosein, who contributed a valuable 22 runs off 17 balls.

Earlier in the game, Karachi Kings had posted a competitive total of 165/8 in their allotted overs, thanks to contributions from James Vince (37 runs) and Shoaib Malik (28 runs). However, Quetta Gladiators’ bowlers, led by Abrar Ahmed with figures of 3/31, restricted Karachi Kings’ batting lineup and paved the way for their successful chase.

Quetta Gladiators’ victory marked their fourth win of the competition, while Karachi Kings suffered their third loss in five games. The match showcased thrilling performances from both teams, keeping the fans on the edge of their seats until the last ball was bowled.
