ISLAMABAD: The remaining matches of Pakistan Super League 10 will be played provisionally from May 17 to 25, with discussions ongoing on venue and player availability.
The franchises have recommended holding all remaining matches in Lahore or Rawalpindi to reduce logistical challenges. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has proposed restarting in Rawalpindi and hosting the final in Lahore.
Meanwhile, teams are confirming their participation with their foreign players. While some have agreed to return, the franchises and PSL management are working on contingency plans in case the full roster is not met.
Options include a replacement draft or relaxing the league’s mandatory foreign player rule for the remaining games.
A final decision is expected by tonight.
The PCB had announced the indefinite postponement of the remaining eight matches of PSL season 10 in light of the deteriorating regional security situation.
The postponement came as PSL 10 was in its final stages, with only eight matches remaining.
After 27 matches, Quetta Gladiators, who have already qualified for the playoffs, are at the top of the points table with six wins, two losses and one draw from nine matches.
Karachi Kings are second with 10 points after five wins and three losses from eight matches. Defending champions Islamabad United are third with 10 points after five wins and four losses from nine matches.
Lahore Qalandars is fourth with nine points after four wins, four losses and one draw. Peshawar Zalmi is fifth with eight points after four wins from nine matches.
Multan Sultans have crashed out of the playoffs after just one win and eight losses from their nine matches.
