Quetta Gladiators Clinch Five-Wicket Victory Against Lahore Qalandars

Lahore: In an exciting showdown during the fourth game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine, Quetta Gladiators emerged victorious with a five-wicket win over Lahore Qalandars on Monday. The match, filled with thrilling performances and gripping moments, showcased exceptional talent from both sides.

Khawaja Nafay, the 22-year-old sensation, showcased remarkable skill with an unbeaten 60 runs to guide Quetta Gladiators to their second consecutive victory in the tournament. The win was a significant milestone for Quetta, while Lahore Qalandars faced their second consecutive loss.

Earlier in the game, Lahore Qalandars, under the leadership of captain Shaheen Afridi, opted to bat first. Sahibzada Farhan’s anchoring fifty laid a solid foundation for Lahore, followed by Jahandad Khan’s explosive knock, which propelled the team to a competitive total of 187/7.

Despite an early setback with the dismissal of Fakhar Zaman, Rassie van der Dussen’s partnership with Farhan provided stability to Lahore’s innings. However, Quetta’s bowlers, led by Akeal Hosein, staged a comeback, claiming crucial wickets at regular intervals.

In response, Quetta Gladiators showcased resilience and determination in their chase, led by Khawaja Nafay’s impressive innings. Despite facing some early challenges, Nafay’s calculated approach guided Quetta to victory with five wickets in hand.
