KARACHI: Muhammad Hasnain, an 11-year-old Pakistani prodigy, created an innovative AI assistant robot named Muhammad Ali that can speak through a robotic head.

The future AI specialist created the robot for his summer project and, recently got promoted from grade six.

This remarkable robot can perform various tasks, including providing recipes, answering questions, controlling home appliances, playing movies, and searching online, all through voice commands.

Hasnain’s passion for science and technology has led him to create impressive projects, including a Bluetooth-powered car in 2022 and a virtual reality game in 2023.

His latest creation, Muhammad Ali, stands out from other AI chatbots due to its unique personality, face, and Muslim and Pakistani identity. Hasnain aimed to create a kind and helpful robot that can make a positive impact.

According to Hasnain’s father Syed Faraz Haider, his child had always been inclined toward interests that were “unusual” for his age.

With minimal guidance, Hasnain designed and built the robot himself, showcasing his exceptional skills and dedication. His robotics teacher, Shakeel Abbas, provided support in acquiring the necessary equipment, but the creative vision and execution were entirely Hasnain’s.

In the future, Hasnain wants to pursue a career in robotics and game development. He also hopes to give his robot, for now just a head full of wires, a full body. He is also planning a virtual reality project for next year.
