German special envoy on Afghanistan calls on COAS

RAWALPINDI: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that the world cannot afford to have an unstable Afghanistan, prone to economic collapse.

Talking to the Special Representative of Germany for Afghanistan & Pakistan (SRAP) Jasper Wieck at the Pakistan Army’s general headquarters in c on Saturday, the COAS stressed upon the need for global convergence and sincere efforts to avert a looming humanitarian catastrophe in Afghanistan.

With regard to the bilateral relations, COAS said that Pakistan values Germany’s role in global and regional affairs and we look forward to enhance our bilateral relationship.

The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s role in the Afghan situation.
