Islamabad weather forecast: Gusty winds, thundershowers expected

ISLAMABAD: The citizens of the Federal City experienced pleasant weather in the early morning. The previous rain pour resulted in lowering the temperatures making the weather pleasant.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted intermittent monsoon rains and winds for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of Pakistan.

The maximum temperatures anticipated today range up to 29 degrees Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature expected is 24 degrees Celsius.

The humidity levels range up to 75%, whereas the wind is moving in the northwest direction at the speed of 11 km/h.

Moreover, PMD forecasts a 23 percent chance of rain in the next 24 hours with occasional gaps. This new monsoon spell will continue from August 18 to 20.

Earlier, NDMA issued a flood alert in Islamabad, requesting the residents to watch out before going out.

Moreover, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts indicate that various regions across Pakistan are set to experience a day of heavy rainfall and strong winds on Sunday. Areas in Sindh, Northeast and South Punjab, East Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region, and Kashmir are all on alert for adverse weather conditions, including thunderstorms.
