KARACHI: Citizens of Karachi witnessed pleasant weather during the day. However, PMD forecasts light rainfall in the evening hours which may drop the temperatures significantly.
The temperatures varied from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius whereas the humidity ranged up to 75 %. The air is moving towards the direction of the southwest with a speed of 18 km/h and a 10 % chance of precipitation.
Light rain and drizzle are expected in Karachi until August 11. Cloud formation is anticipated near the Kirthar Range, with monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal affecting the upper and central regions of the country.
Moreover, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has predicted light rain and drizzle for Karachi and nearby areas. This forecast is due to the influence of monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal, which are likely to impact various parts of the country, particularly the upper and central regions.
Additionally, Sardar Sarfaraz indicated that districts such as Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mithi, and Badin, along with Jacobabad, Sukkur, and Larkana, may experience rainfall through August 11.
Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and take appropriate precautions, especially in areas susceptible to flooding or waterlogging. Although heavy rainfall is not anticipated, the city is expected to experience pleasant weather with occasional light showers.
