ISLAMABAD: In a sad turn of events, 16 more people have been martyred as of this morning due to the intensification of the Israeli army’s attacks on Lebanon. Due to the Israeli actions, the Iranian delegation could not leave for Switzerland.

According to sources in the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Chief Negotiator Baqir Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi were fully prepared to leave for Switzerland, but due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, the Iranian delegation’s visit was postponed at the last minute.

Sources say that a new date or venue for the postponed talks with the US has not yet been determined.  According to sources, Israel’s operation in Lebanon is being described as the worst bombing in recent weeks.

It should be noted that the talks between the US and Iran in Switzerland today have been canceled. According to a statement issued by the Swiss Foreign Ministry, the scheduled talks between the US and Iran in Bürgenstock will no longer take place.

The Swiss Foreign Ministry’s statement came after US Vice President JD Vance’s departure for Switzerland was postponed.

The Swiss Foreign Ministry said that Switzerland remains ready to host and facilitate the talks, and that preparations are ongoing in Bürgenstock. The Swiss Foreign Ministry did not provide information on a new date for the talks, according to the news agency.
