92% of Israelis believe Iran emerged victorious after war: Survey

ISLAMABAD: According to a survey conducted in Israel, 92% of Israelis believe that Iran emerged victorious after the war and the agreement with the United States.

According to the Israel newspaper, a joint survey conducted by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Agam Institute found that the vast majority of Israelis view the war with Iran and the subsequent agreement between Tehran and Washington negatively, while 92.1% of Israelis believe that Iran emerged victorious after the conflict.

According to the survey, 93.1% of voters supporting the right-wing coalition led by Netanyahu also believe that Iran won the conflict.

82.9 percent of people believed that the 6-week military campaign against Iran undermined Israel’s long-term security, while 86 percent expressed a negative opinion of the outcome of the war and the agreement reached between Iran and the United States without Israel’s participation.

The survey also revealed that 87.8 percent of Israelis said that Israel failed to achieve its declared war goals or only achieved some of its objectives. 72.5 percent said they did not believe Netanyahu’s claim that Israel had achieved significant successes and eliminated an existential threat.

69.1 percent of people in the survey described US President Trump’s performance as a failure or weak.

According to the survey results, 61.3 percent of people said that since October 7, 2023, Israel has not achieved its goals against Hamas and Hezbollah at all, while 26.5 percent said that some of its goals were achieved.
