DHAKA: According to the Bangladeshi Ministry of Health, 98 children have died due to at least suspected measles in the last 3 weeks.

The Ministry of Health says that 6,476 children aged 6 months to 5 years have reported measles-like symptoms, the number of confirmed cases is 826 and at least 16 deaths have been confirmed so far.

According to the Ministry of Health, an emergency vaccination campaign has been launched by identifying 30 highly affected areas.

According to the Director of Communicable Disease Control, the number of children infected with measles and deaths this year is higher than in previous years, which may be due to lack of vaccines and other factors.
