CIA tracked Ayatollah Khamenei, shared location with Israel: Report

ISLAMABAD: The New York Times has claimed that the CIA found out the location of Ayatollah Khamenei and provided it to Israel.

According to the report, the CIA identified a secret meeting of the Iranian leadership, after which Israel attacked. The CIA had been tracking Ayatollah Khamenei’s movements for several months.

The US had been informed in advance of the secret meeting at the leadership compound in Tehran. The US and Israel changed the time of the attack after confirming Khamenei’s presence.

The CIA had gained access to Khamenei’s daily routines and secret locations.
