Eid-ul-Fitr Festivities Begin Across Gulf States, Saudi Arabia Leads Celebrations

RIYADH: Eid ul-Fitr is being celebrated in Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia today.

The largest congregations of Eid al-Fitr prayers was held in the Masjid ul Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque, millions of followers of Tawheed will perform Eid prayers.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz congratulated Muslims around the world on Eid al-Fitr.

King Salman reiterated his commitment to continue efforts for global peace and stability, and prayed for peace, security and stability for the Muslim Ummah.

Meanwhile, Eid is also being celebrated in Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Palestine and Iraq today.

A large number of Muslim communities across Europe, including the UK, have announced to celebrate Eid today.

The biggest and most colorful Chand Raat took place in London. People were seen bustling at the Chand Raat, organized in collaboration with Geo TV and Jang.

Long queues of women were formed at the henna stalls to get beautiful henna designs done on their hands.

There was also a rush at the stalls selling beautiful clothes, bangles, jewellery, perfumes, make-up, toys and handicrafts. Delicious food was also arranged for those who came to celebrate Chand Raat.
