KUWAIT: As the holy month of Hajj approaches, Kuwait’s Council of Ministers has announced holidays for Arafat and Eid al-Adha on Saturday, according to media reports
According to Arab media, the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers has officially declared a public holiday from Thursday, June 5 to Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Monday, June 9, will also be off for work, and work will resume on Tuesday, June 10 as per media reports.
According to astronomical predictions issued by the Emirates Astronomical Society, Eid al-Adha, one of the most important festivals of the Islamic calendar, is likely to fall on Friday, June 6, 2025.
The announcement was made during a recent cabinet meeting led by Kuwait’s Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Yousef Al-Sabah.
It should be remembered that, according to the Islamic calendar, the beginning of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah is conditional on the sighting of the moon, and this year the crescent of Dhu al-Hijjah is likely to be seen on May 27.
