Famous Scholar passes away while teaching Quran

YEMEN: Yemeni Quran teacher and scholar, Sheikh Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-San’ani, has died suddenly while conducting his Quran tuition lessons.

His final moments were recorded by cameras and later spread like wildfire on social media sites. In the video, the scholar is seen conducting a Quranic teaching lesson in the Marib province of Yemen when he closed his eyes and slumped from his chair.

According to foreign media, Sheikh Dr. Al-San’ani was supervising students who had memorized the Quran at Noora Mosque located in the Ramailah neighborhood.

He was listening to the recitation of the Quran by a student and was even holding a copy of the Holy Quran.

However, while carrying out his regular teaching responsibilities, he suddenly collapsed and died. His death has resulted in immense sorrow to the students and the religious community.

Sheikh Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-San’ani was a Ph.D. graduate with academic excellence. He was the director of Quranic circles at the Noora Mosque and was considered one of the prominent figures in Quranic education in the Marib Province, and was instrumental in teaching numerous generations.
