Four killed in plane crash in Southern Philippines

MANILA: A private plane crashed in the southern Philippine province of Maguindanao del Sur on Thursday afternoon, killing four people, including three foreigners, according to multiple sources.

The tragic incident occurred around 2 p.m. local time in the town of Ampatuan, according to local police. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines confirmed the crash but did not release further details.

The Philippine News Agency identified the plane as a Beech King Air 350. It was reported that villagers had recovered four bodies, including those of two men.

Police responders have launched an investigation into the crash in an attempt to determine the nationalities of the victims.
