RIYADH: A ban on outdoor work in the private sector in Saudi Arabia will remain in effect until September 15. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) announced that a ban on outdoor work in direct sunlight for all private sector entities will be in effect from June 15 to September 15.
Under the new regulation, implemented in collaboration with the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, the ban will apply to outdoor work from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm in order to minimize the health and safety of workers and occupational risks associated with extreme heat.
The MHRSD urged employers to organize working hours in accordance with the regulation and implement the necessary safety measures in workplaces.
