Iran, Russia & China to hold joint Naval Drills in Indian Ocean

TEHRAN: Iran, Russia and China have announced joint naval exercises in the North Indian Ocean.

According to foreign media reports, Iran, Russia and China will hold joint naval exercises this month, in which the navies of the three countries will participate.

According to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency, these exercises have been named ‘Maritime Security Belt’. The Iranian Navy, the Revolutionary Guards’ naval units, as well as the navies of Russia and China, will participate in the exercises.

According to the report, the aim of these joint exercises is to strengthen maritime security, prepare to deal with potential threats or attacks, and promote military cooperation between the three countries.
