KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait and Oman have declared a public holiday on the occasion of Shab-e-Miraj. In both countries, January 18 will be a holiday, and all institutions will remain closed. Shab-e-Miraj will be celebrated on the night of 27th Rajab 1447.

Schools and colleges in Kuwait and Oman will also be closed. There will be no public holiday on Shab-e-Miraj in the United Arab Emirates.

Three holidays will be given in Kuwait to coincide with Shab-e-Miraj. The holiday for Shab-e-Miraj will be on Friday, January 16.

Since Friday is already a holiday in Kuwait, the holidays will continue from January 16 to January 18.

The government has also decided to give a holiday on Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18, while Sunday has been declared an alternative holiday. Normal work will resume from Monday, January 19, 2026.
